The Repton School Abu Dhabi offers the very best in British education, within the context of an international community, epitomised by the school’s philosophy of ‘the best for every child’. Repton, an Apple Distinguished School, has excellent facilities and amenities, split across two sites on Reem Island, close to the heart of the city.
Their pupils benefit from an international curriculum based on the British independent and national curricula. The school clear aim and purpose is to provide the best teaching and learning environment in which all pupils will achieve their very best academically, physically and socially. By working closely with all parents, they aim to develop young people who will have all the tools they need to succeed in a rapidly changing, highly competitive, global society.
They intend to offer a full range of IGCSEs, in addition to the IB Diploma. The academic programme is organised into three terms. In Years 7-9, pupils are taught core subjects (Maths, English, Science) in ability groups and non-core subjects in mixed ability groups. At the end of Year 9 (Grade 8), students, after participating in a full guidance programme, choose their IGCSE options and follow these over a two year period. At the end of Year 11, (Grade 10), pupils are awarded their IGCSE certificates and those achieving a minimum of 6 passes at grade B are invited to join the sixth form to follow the full IB Diploma.
