The Mirdif represents a very famous residential community mainly consisted of villa developments and includes three main residential projects – Uptown, Ghoroob and Shorooq. Mirdif has a number of gated and non-gated facilities, residential low–rise apartment buildings, townhouses and villas. The area itself is more than conveniently situated, just next to the Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed, which add to the overall proximity to important amenities and other parts of the city. Mirdif is also a very family-friendly area, containing numerous amenities such as number of nurseries, schools (like Mirdif Private School and Star International School), two large public parks, several mosques and shopping facilities. Mirdif City Center is large shopping mall opened in 2010 with over 430 shops, 3 level parking, more than 60 dining outlets, entertainment facilities and hypermarket. Due to proximity of very busy Dubai International Airport, aircraft noise can be disturbing at some points however in most of the cases residents get used to it over the time. Many villa compounds or private single villas of which majority holds three or four bedrooms are located in Mirdif.
