Dubai Internet City (DIC) is the Middle East's biggest ICT technology park and business center for around 1,600 companies of all sizes. It’s located approximately 25 kilometers south of Downtown Dubai on Sheikh Zayed Road adjacent to Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach Residence and the well regarded and known Palm Jumeirah areas that are growing into the most exclusive and expensive residential areas of Dubai. It is less than 1 km from the sea coast, just in the vicinity of several five star hotels and near the other business clusters such as Dubai Media City and Dubai Knowledge Village.
Dubai Internet City is a house to the many global giants such as Microsoft, Oracle Corporation, IBM, DELL, Siemens, Canon, Sony Ericsson as well as many other, small and medium enterprises. This cluster environment consists of most elements of the value chain for an ICT business. Dubai Internet City was created by Dubai Government as an economic free zone and represent Gulf regional headquarters of various media and technology companies and corporations.
