Al Warqa represents a relatively small sized community, consisting of the five neighboring sub communities (Al Warqa 1,2,3,4 and 5), located in the city of Dubai, just to the southwest of Dubai Creek, bordering the Nad Al Hammar to the west and the Mirdif area to the north. The area was only partially populated industrial locality but today, it is constantly growing thanks to the ever-developing International City as well as other residential projects in the vicinity. There are two important routes that runs on the Al Warqa's peripheries, one is the Emirates Road, known as E 311 and the other being Al Aweer Road, designated as E 44. There are several important amenities worthy of mentioning such as the 3 beautiful parks, numerous schools such as the Sharjah American International School (Dubai campus),
Our Own English High School for Girls (Al Warqaa), Our Own High School for Boys (Al Warqa) and Rajagiri International School(Al Warqaa 1). There are also a number of sporting facilities such as 3.5km long running track, basketball and tennis courts and two football fields. Dubai Municipality garbage disposal center is situated here, as well as the Al Warqa Grand Mosque. A large Safari park is under construction and planned to be implemented to accompany Al Warqa's numerous amenities, at the outskirts of the area.
